welcome Fall 2009

first days come and go. but what's great about them is that they always present the opportunity to make something great out of them.

welcome to the first day of the Fall 2009 quarter! so what kind of quarter is it going to be? well you tell me... obviously, wherever you are reading this blog is a completely different place from where i am writing it. what you might be anticipating (or dreading) about the first day may or may not be the same as what i am. but that's okay - could you imagine if your first day was the same as everyone else's?! there would be no interesting stories to share because everyone would have the same one. lame.

i guess we're lucky... even though we'll get those unexpected twists and turns (that will contribute to fantastic conversation topics!), for the most part, the first day is in our hands. it's our chance to set the tone for everything that will follow. after all, a first day cannot be defined by what happens after it passes.
